Overheard in a local bar talking with his friends, a man expressed his sentiment that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is not actually qualified for president.
“I don’t get it. What has she even really done with her life?” the man said. “Just because she was married to Bill Clinton, I’m supposed to want to vote for her?”
When his friend told him that Clinton was indeed Secretary of State and a United States Senator, the man said, “So? When I went to college online at DeVry, I once had to lead a group discussion on a book we were reading. I know what it’s like to have status and be in a position of power. That doesn’t mean that I should be president.”
Later in the night, the man brought up Clinton again and said, “I don’t want to sound sexist, but, like, what if she gets her period? She’ll declare war on the Canadians or something!”
When a female member of the man’s friend group informed him that Clinton is 68 years old and therefore no longer menstruates, the man responded “Wait, so women stop getting their period at a certain time in their lives?”
